We had a great time in Key West and the location of the Reach was perfect. Definitely book at Waldorf if your Hilton lovers. The hotel pool is not heated, but If you can sneak into their sister property the Waldorf your kids will find a heated pool! Good location and on the beach. I just wish the hotel would have been a little more accommodating because stuff happens. At this point we asked again can you just move us next door or refund & she was a hard no. One person from each room slept on floor, instead of 3 in a king. Couldn’t even provide us with a two queen beds for one room. ![]() Me and my husband had to stay In separate rooms and when I say the rooms couldn’t have been further fromĮach other… 413 & 454 □. Next up, when you book typically via Hilton apps multiple rooms that are usually accommodating and next to each other. Super ironic it was just hours before we asked. We asked for our hotel to be refunded of our reward redemption points and she said no way possible they just got an email today there would be no refunds if after the date of cancellation. When we arrived the manager at the front desk was not welcoming at all. We traveled with 4 children, and we are also Lifetime Diamond members for Hilton. There are many hotels in the Key West area but if like a beautiful relaxing area with much to offer, this is truly the place, and it's the staff that helps make it as so. The grounds are kept up and the pool/beach area workers are constantly picking up after people to keep things nice. There was nothing not to like! We had booked a suite, which I highly recommend, as the patio is perfect access to the pools and beach. 2 large pools one for adults and one for families. Multiple activities available right there. The sand is great for kids, the beach water perfect for swimming, and even great snorkeling. It has things for everybody, and is a perfect spot for any trip. The complaints of this resort and staff are unfounded. The housekeeping lady that serviced our room each day was by far the best one I've ever known to work at a hotel, paying extra attention to details, which I appreciate. I was at this resort with my family for 9 nights and I witnessed those workers pushed beyond their abilities, dealing with extremely busy times of weddings, dealing with the needs of many guests at meals, dealing with multiple requests at once, and even rude guests and every single staff member from the valets to the pool boys to the beach servers, restaurant/bar servers, housekeeping, desk clerks, and the store workers were all fantastic. The staff at this resort are all absolutely wonderful, no matter if you tip them or not, they truly work to serve with the attitude of utmost helpfulness. The reviews for this resort vary so much, and I do not know why. If I was invited as part of a group to go back though, we would have a great time. I would most likely not go back to a place like this anywhere because of the convenience costs you pay for the what you get. The reason we went was to be at a nice beach and enjoy the waves and sun, and this place provided that.Īll in all, I think this place was too "hotel-y" for us. ![]() Even though I think valet parking only is kind of a rip, the valet service was excellent. The fact you can use the beach and pier 24 hours was cool. The elevator next to our room was broken for 2 days, even though we reported it immediately. The private patio was was the best part about it. The bathroom was small and kind of annoying. The service was slow at the restaurant and bar. I felt like not enough information was volunteered to us at the beginning of the stay, we had to figure some things out for ourselves as far as credit and dining options.
